One of the six winners from April 2018s On-Air Competition, visionary designer Lou Matheron has used inspiration from a Parisian Courthouse which is still under construction to help develop this interesting take on the Air VaporMax Plus silhouette. Fittingly Entitled the Air VaporMax Plus OA Paris Works in Progress, Matheron reimagines the colours and materials used to create a shoe that truly stands out. The conventional lacing system has been replaced here with a buckle strap that wraps around the entire shoe - similar almost to straps around piles of bricks - along with a set of deconstructed Nike Swoosh logos on the side panels that give the shoe an avant-garde look and feel. Down below, an icy blue Air VaporMax midsole is present, which perfectly complements the clean white upper. This model is well thought out, excellently designer, and we can definitely see why it stood out.
