The Nike Air Max 90 Persian Violet takes inspiration from the “Royal” colourway for the AJ1, and historical adaptations of the “Persian Violet” colourway used by both the Air Max 97 and Air Tuned Max to produce a somewhat new addition to Tinker Hatfield's Air Max 90 catalogue. Leaning on the brands penchants for reversing some of their more iconic colourways this design is crafted from a combination of premium leather panelling and mesh underlays for additional breathability. The titular purplish hue splashes into the leather side swoosh, eye stays, lateral Air Max branding and throat sitting overlays. The leather materials that form the front of the shoe and the midfoot as well as the mesh collars contrast with white, while the suede mudguards, mesh toe boxes, forefoot eye stays and interior liners are dyed in black. Midsoles go for the yin and yang aesthetic and split between black and white paint, the latter section of which hosts a translucent Air unit.
