To celebrate its 25th anniversary, Nike recovered the Nike Air Max 96 II from its archives for its long-awaited comeback. The Cherry colourway retains the vintage aesthetic sneaker fans know and love, offering layer upon layer of texture and colour. For instance, each shoe features a breathable white mesh upper with purple cut-out overlays and white cage-style leather. The striking upper pairs with a chunky midsole housing an exposed Air unit for comfortable cushioning. Splashes of the design’s famous Comet Red appear sparingly across the shoe, featuring on the border of the white and blue Nike Swooshes on the sidewalls and the miniature version above it. The hue appears again on the visible Air unit and Air Max branding on the tongue, creating a bold aesthetic that will grab attention.
