Nike has given founder of UNDERCOVER Jun Takashi the keys to their archive to allow them to breathe life into the retro Nike Daybreak silhouette. Released in June 2019 the Japanese deconstructionists have made a version of the classic running shoe that features a nylon upper with suede overlays accompanied by grey heel piece encircled by a futuristic plastic component, embellished with a speckled motif that flows through to the foam sole. Below Undercover branding, the shoe's rubber outsole stays true to the splayed tread pattern of the original 1979 Daybreak.
